Report: Future and Ciara Settle Custody Case

attends the 2013 BET Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on June 30, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.

Twelve days after Ciara dropped her $15 million defamation lawsuit against Future, TMZ reports the former couple have settled their custody battle over 2-year-old Future Zahir Wilburn.  The two have reportedly agreed to joint custody, though Future Jr. will spend the majority of his time with Ciara. The case is officially closed, according to TMZ.

The defamation lawsuit stemmed from allegations that Ciara’s career was damaged by Future’s claims that she was using her now-husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, to regain popularity. Future’s attorneys countered, somewhat rudely, that Ciara’s career had stalled years before, so the Atlanta rapper’s comments couldn’t have made much of a difference either way.

Days after the case was dropped, Future made an appearance at the playoff game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Seahawks, which Wilson started. The Seahawks lost 36-20.
