On a new track from Baltimore club instigator TT The Artist and collaborator Mighty Mark, the pair aims to bring everyone to their party with a rotating selection of back-and-forth chants punctuated by the song’s title, “Say Yeah.”
Released on the London label Moveltraxx, “Say Yeah” is the opening track from Street Bangerz Factory #06, out February 10, a compilation that also features cuts from Teklife affiliate DJ Earl, UK producer Maribor, and the first official release from young French club auteur Alex Autajon.
“‘Say Yeah’ is one of those songs that makes anybody feel a part of the party,” TT The Artist told SPIN. “No matter what your age, gender, or race it’s all about everyday things we all can relate to. It’s also very much inspired by Miami Bass Break Beats. I really wanted to get back to my roots with this one, being Florida born and raised. Miami Bass and booty shaking music was what got the party hype.”
Mighty Mark and TT The Artist previously teamed up on “F Trump,” a cut that aimed its acrimony at our current president. “Say Yeah,” on the other hand, is all inclusion, though Trump probably isn’t welcome on the dance floor.
