Bad a** should be enough to describe Jamie Foxx in his forthcoming movie, Sleepless. The trailer for the new action thriller was recently released, and Foxx is plays no games as he fights by any means necessary to find his son.
In the nearly 3-minute teaser, Foxx stars as Vincent Downs, an undercover Vegas cop, who finds himself in a tough spot after he’s caught stealing a large shipment of cocaine from an infamous crime lord. When his son is kidnapped in retaliation for his actions, Downs has to break out every rescue tactic in the book to bring his son back safely, even if it means a few people are killed to make that happen. The trailer also stars T.I. as Sean Cass, Downs’ partner and Gabrielle Union as the mother of his child.
Sleepless is a remake of the 2011-released French thriller Nuit Blanche, which translates as Sleepless Night. The reboot will reportedly feature cameos from Jeezy and Lloyd Banks, although their roles have not been disclosed as of yet. The Baran bo Odar-directed film is set to hit theaters on Friday, January 13.
