Soulja Boy and Chris Brown Stage Fake Feud for Real, Televised Boxing Match

Over the past few days, Soulja and Brown have engaged in a public feud that includes multiple video threats, tweets, and a “robbery.” (Another video revealed that Soulja Boy dropped his phone to prepare for a scuffle.) Now, the belligerents are getting ready to take their fight to the boxing ring. They’ve announced that they’ve signed a contract for a three-round pay-per-view match, as ESPN points out via the AP. Boxers Floyd Mayweather and Adrien Broner have Instagrammed posters promoting the fight

Soulja Boy has said that Floyd Mayweather, who retired with an undefeated record, is training him for the fight. Even so, this is probably going to be an uphill battle for him. Look at this:

To recap, this whole thing started on January 2 when Soulja Boy claimed Chris Brown was upset that he liked Brown’s ex Karrauche’s Instagram pic. After trading disses, Soulja Boy apologized in an Instagram message, saying his mother’s poor health is the reason he’s been behaving strangely. But the mea culpa didn’t work, so now the pair’s grievances will play out on PPV at a to-be-announced date.

Real or not—this whole thing moved suspiciously quickly from the internet to the ring—the duo will now make money off this beef. Soulja Boy, amazingly, is only 26 years old.
