Spotify Accidentally Announced New Dirty Projectors Music

On Saturday, some beady-eyed Spotify subscribers noticed an email in their inbox advertising new Dirty Projectors music. In the message, there was a non-functioning link, but the email did include what looks to be album or single art, featuring elements reminiscent of the cover for the band’s 2009 breakout album, Bitte Orca, with the message “Little Bubble by Dirty Projectors is now available on Spotify!”

Whenever “Little Bubble” is a song or an album is as of yet unclear (as Stereogum points out, a recent generic Shazam listing might indicate it’s a song). But it’s safe to say something is probably going to happen soon, even if the timing wasn’t right on Saturday—so fans, start refreshing Dave Longstreth-related social media accounts.

The band’s last single, “Keep Your Name,” was released in September. Here’s an image of the aberrant email:
