New Music: Listen to Kipp Stone’s New Song from the Soundtrack to Ta-Nehisi Coates’s Black Panther Comic

This year, esteemed Atlantic essayist and author Ta-Nehisi Coates began writing a series for Marvel’s Black Panther comic. Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet tells the story of T’Challa, ruler of fictional, futuristic African country Wakanda, whose mortal enemy is a terrorist group called The People and Dr. Doom.

To guide readers through the series, Marvel Entertainment released recap videos which featured contributions from musical artists like Run the Jewels, Prodigy (of Mobb Deep), Flatbush Zombies, New York singer/rapper/comedian Jean Grae, and Chicago rapper Kweku Collins.

A full version of one of the tracks used for a new video in the project was released today: a fierce, industrial-gage trap track by rising Cleveland rapper Kipp Stone, “100 Black Panthers.”

Listen the song, and sample the full playlist of Black Panther teasers below.
