Over the weeknd, Marvel announced that Luke Cage has finally been renewed for a second season. The renewal isn’t that much of a surprise: Data collected five days after Luke Cage‘s September 30 debut showed that it was the fifth most-watched Netflix original series.

There’s no word on when Luke Cage‘s second season is supposed to premiere, but it’s now another anticipated entry in Marvel’s Netflix lineup. The second season of Jessica Jones, a third season of Daredevil, and a Punisher series are all in the pipeline, too. The Defenders, the mini-series that will feature the Netflix series’ titular heroes, is also expected to drop next year.
