Austin rock’n’roll stalwarts Spoon have updated their website and social media profiles with a washed-out image of a skull, Pitchfork points out, leading us to wonder whether the follow-up to 2014’s great They Want My Soul might be on the way. Matador Records, which released Spoon’s debut album and EP, also posted the skull image on Instagram.
We’ve asked a Matador representative whether the band is returning to their old label for a new album, and will update this post if and when we hear back. In the meantime, listen to “Inside Out” from They Want My Soul below.
