Another Daniel Clowes Movie, Patience, Is On the Way

Cartoonist/graphic novelist/writer Daniel Clowes is working on a script for a film of his bestselling graphic novel Patience, which was released earlier this year, Variety reports. The news follows the trailer for a Woody-Harrelson-starring cinematic take on Clowes’ book Wilson, which was released last month. Patience is a surreal time-travel adventure—a departure for Clowes, given that his work typically traffics in tragi-realistic narratives. Like other Clowes works, it’s safe to expect comedy, pathos, and whimsy in equal measure from whatever the movie ends up becoming. No further details about release or production of the film, which is being handled by Focus Features, have yet been confirmed.
