Watch All Them Witches Perform “Dirt Preachers” at Voodoo 2016

There wasn’t a better way for All Them Witches to rock out than with the bayou heat pushing the mercury close to 90 degrees in New Orleans’ City Park. The grizzled dudes from Nashville have been playing their gothic brand of blues rock since 2012 when they dropped their stellar debut Our Mother Electricity, and the intimate backdrop at this year’s Toyota Music Den gave everyone in the audience a chance to experience the band’s heavy energy up close. But their set wasn’t all brooding rhythms and squealing riffs — lead singer Michael Parks, Jr. took a second before closing out the afternoon to raise a glass to the capacity crowd, thanking them for taking the time to come and see All Them Witches jam. Check out their performance of “Dirt Preachers,” from their 2015 album Dying Surfer Meets His Maker, below.
