Last night, as promised, The Weeknd released two new songs towards his upcoming album, Starboy. His previously-released title track of the LP is a collaboration with Daft Punk, and the new release features “I Feel It Coming,” his second collaboration with the duo. The song is a mellow slice of percolating, after-hours disco.
“Party Monster” is a darker, more typical Weeknd creeper–a trap-inflected tribute to one-night-stands, drinking, and pill-popping. Lana Del Rey appears as a guest on the track, contributing ethereal backing vocals and a few cries of “paranoia.” (She also guests on a forthcoming Starboy track called “Stargirl Interlude.”)
Listen to the two tracks via Spotify or Apple Music, and check out the full tracklist for Starboy, which also features Kendrick Lamar and Future, below. The album is due out next Friday, November 25th.
