Pussy Riot‘s third new song and video this week is the satirical “Make America Great Again,” imagining a world in the immediate aftermath of a Donald Trump presidency. “Make America Great Again” follows “Organs” and “Straight Outta Vagina.” It’s the most bluntly political of the three, starring Nadya Tolokonnikova as a dissident who suffers imprisonment, invasive medical procedures, and literal skin branding at the hands of state officials. A number of clips of the real Trump are interspersed throughout.
“Make America Great Again” was directed by Jonas Akerlund, and features additional music by producer Ricky Reed. It will appear alongside “Straight Outta Vagina” and “Organs” on a newly announced Pussy Riot EP, xxx, which will be out tomorrow. Watch “Make America Great Again” below.
