New Music: Stream an Album by Test Pattern, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader’s Talking Heads Parody Band

On the most recent episode of their IFC mockumentary show Documentary Now!, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader mounted a tribute to Stop Making Sense, Jonathan Demme’s 1984 Talking Heads concert film. The episode, called “Final Transmission,” follows a band called Test Pattern as they play their final show together. Today, Armisen and Hader also shared a full-length album from Test Pattern, featuring music used in the show. The album is also called Final Transmission, and it comes complete with artwork that nods to the real Talking Heads’ Remain in Light and “videogame sandwich diamonds” visuals.

Use a cable provider sign-in to watch the whole Documentary Now! episode here, and see Armisen and Hader’s live performance of “Art + Student” live on Seth Meyers. Stream Test Pattern’s debut album below.
