New Music: Julia Holter – “Fighting Duran,” From the Bleed for This Soundtrack

Experimental and ambient musician Julia Holter has shared “Fighting Duran,” a selection from the soundtrack for Bleed for This, director Ben Younger’s upcoming biopic based on the life of boxer Vinny Paz. Holter composed ten new songs for the film, which follows Paz (played by Miles Teller) as he stages his boxing comeback following a car crash and what could have been a career-ending spinal injury.

The soundtrack also includes “Maxim’s 1,” a track from Holter’s 2013 record Loud City Songas well as selections by Willis Earl Beal, George Michael, and Bad Company. Holter’s most recent album was 2015’s Have You in My WildernessBleed for This will be released November 18 by Open Road Films; the soundtrack is out digitally the same day and physically on November 25 from Milan Records.
