“Check on Me,” a highlight from the tame Project E.T.: Esco Terrestrial mixtape from last June, finally has a video. The lone concept here is Future and DJ Esco taking over New York City, from Morningside Avenue to the strip club. Fabolous, the greatest Brooklyn rapper to never have a classic album, makes an appearance near the end.
Future is the song’s star, but DJ Esco is clearly shining in the video. He spends the entirety of the clip cavorting with jittery extravagance, and it’s the lone bright spot in what’s been a boring Monday. Watch DJ Esco and friends below.
