Vince Staples was the musical guest on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing “Smile,” a standout from his recent Prima Donna EP. The song had to be trimmed down for its late-night appearance, but with the Roots as Staples’ backing band, it took on a new dimension of wailing urgency.
