Earlier this year, two members of Austin band S U R V I V E drew plenty of attention with their raved-about score for the summer’s runaway TV hit, Netflix’s Stranger Things. Thanks to their work on the Spielbergian throwback, S U R V I V E’s upcoming second album, RR7349, has quietly become one of the fall’s more anticipated releases, at least among people who get really excited for horror flick-ready instrumental synth suites.
RR7349 is an absorbing listen, one that lures you further and further into its swampy realm with its pulsating electronics and sense of atmosphere.
