Watch De La Soul and Estelle Perform “Memory of… (US)” on Fallon

The quiet success of De La Soul’s And the Anonymous Nobody… has been one of the year’s more pleasant surprises. The trio’s first album in 12 years, Nobody… debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Rap Albums despite coming out the same week as Young Thug’s Jeffery. (Even though Jeffery pushed more equivalent album units, the Rap Albums chart only counts pure album sales.) And, last night, the new record earned De La a one-night gig at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The group performed album cut “Memory of… (US)” with featured guest Estelle, who’s been spending her recent days laying down voice-work for Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe. De La Soul also got some welcome assistance from the show’s house band, the Roots. Watch the performance below.
