If it feels like you’ve seen more Bruce Springsteen than usual lately, it’s because the Boss is in the home stretch of a press tour for his new memoir, Born to Run. Last night, Springsteen appeared for a substantial interview on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where Colbert asked him to name five favorite songs from his own catalog (hint: one of them is “Born to Run”).
Friday was also Springsteen’s 67th birthday, and Colbert gifted his guest a framed drawing of CBS’s storied Ed Sullivan Theater. Born to Run, the book, is out on Tuesday (September 27); its companion album, Chapter and Verse, is out now. Watch Springsteen’s interview with Colbert below.
