Of all the people to actually know who Rita Ora is. Appearing on The Tonight Show last night, Ora revealed that she will sing for Pope Francis at an event honoring the canonization of Mother Teresa this coming Sunday, September 4.

“I’m going to the Vatican, I leave tomorrow! I’m more of a spiritual person, so the Vatican I figured out is actually a big deal,” the U.K. pop star joked to Jimmy Fallon.

If you’re still scratching your head over this one, it’s worth noting that Ora (born Rita Sahatçiu) and Mother Teresa (born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu) have something in common: Albanian heritage. Perhaps the Vatican’s list of celebrity Albanian pop singers with significant international crossover appeal turned out to be rather a short one.
