Neon Indian Goes Full Retro in ‘Annie’ Video
Remember pay phones? Alan Palomo does.
Synth-pop personality Neon Indian released his last record, VEGA INTL Night School, a little under a year ago, but he’s still getting some milage out of it. Today he’s shared a typically retro-looking video for album single “Annie,” which is directed by Alan Palomo himself. By now we know how much Palomo enjoys ’80s/’90s technology (remember the time he asked us to call him on his landline), and the visuals for “Annie” prove no different. Among the many out-of-date communication devices in this clip are ancient cell phones, pay phones, and not-digital tape recorders. We imagine that the production designer had fun with this one — watch below.
