The Atrocity Exhibition hype train went into warp speed after Danny Brown announced the album’s details earlier this week. Today, the Detroit star drops album cut “Pneumonia,” which he previewed last week on Twitter. Like “When It Rains” before it, “Pneumonia” features Brown’s bizarro mix of verbal melody and septic sounds. Brown’s spitting ins’t as rapid fire, but the words — part-braggadocio, part-absurdism — are just as sharp.
Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, Kendrick Lamar, and Kelela are also slated to make appearances on Brown’s first solo effort since 2013’s Old. Listen to “Pneumonia” below.
