American Wrestlers Confirm New LP, Share Energetic Single ‘Give Up’

Lo-fi pop act American Wrestlers’ debut self-titled album earned SPIN‘s Album of the Week when it dropped last year. Now the St. Louis project has announced a follow-up LP called Goodbye Terrible Youth, plus a jubilant lead single called “Give Up.”

“I wanted to write songs that bridged the gap better between audience and stage,” frontman Gary McLure tells Stereogum, who premiered the single. “Faster, louder more distortion. Something you can do handstands and backflips and start small fires to.”

Listen to “Give Up” via Stereogum, and get Goodbye Terrible Youth on November 4 via Fat Possum. Pre-order it here.
