Preoccupations (Formerly Viet Cong) Feel ‘Degraded’ on Latest Single
From their upcoming self-titled sophomore album, out September 19
With their controversial original band name behind them, Preoccupations (formerly Viet Cong) are endeavoring to move forward with new music. Their latest is “Degraded,” a super-dark slice of post-punk animated by wheezing synthesizers and tightly wound guitar riffs.
“Degraded” follows “Anxiety,” the group’s first single under their new name. Both songs are set to appear on a self-titled album, due September 19 from Jagjaguwar. Check out “Degraded” below and the album’s De Stijl-minimalist artwork above.
