SPIN Is Seeking NYC Editorial Interns for Fall 2016

SPIN is seeking editorial interns for our 2016 fall program. Ideally, we’re looking for candidates who are excellent writers and have a serious interest in music and pop culture — the more enthusiastic the better.

Daily intern duties include transcribing interviews, writing stories and song/video premieres, updating release and event schedules, organizing mail, pitching stories, and conducting the occasional interview. Strong, accurate, and fast transcribing skills are a must, as is clear and concise writing on deadline.

Our interns work 16 to 24 hours per week (two or three full days) and must receive school credit. All editorial internships are unpaid and are completed at our New York offices in Manhattan. SPIN does not provide housing or travel assistance.

To apply, please send us a résumé, two to four music-related clips (published or unpublished), a brief cover letter, and a list of your five favorite albums from 2016 so far. The deadline to apply is July 31. Please send all applications to [email protected], subject line: Fall 2016 Editorial Internship.
