M.I.A. has (again) threatened to leak her fifth studio album, Matahdatah. Back in May, after previewing her new track “Finally,” she admitted that she would “love to leak it. I wake up every day and think I’m gonna leak it.” Well, she didn’t, but this morning M.I.A. again insinuated that she was “on the verge” of leaking her LP, which is already supposed to arrive this month. Why? Because, she tweeted, “big American artists” had taken ideas from the record ahead of its release. See her tweets below. (h/t Pitchfork)
I hate it when big American artists take from me and my work and refugee sentiments from my work before it’s released – survivor !!!
