After the personal drama from earlier this spring, Kehlani is finally shifting gears to focus on music. It’s yielding good results: “Distraction,” the follow-up to this week’s “CRZY,” is an palatable single that mixes modern trap percussion with the airy melodies of late-’90s R&B.
The wait, however, continues for Kehlani’s rumored debut album. It would be her first project since last year’s You Should Be Here, which was billed as a mixtape. For now, listen to “Distraction” below.
