HOLYCHILD Go Brat-Pop Shopping in NSFW ‘Power Play’ Video

Last month, outlandish pop duo HOLYCHILD dropped their America Oil Lamb EP, replete with guest spots from the likes of Kate Nash, MS MR, Mereki, RAC, and more. Now, they’ve shared a NSFW video for the RAC-assisted “Power Play,” which features the band cruising around and consuming some all-American brands: Sbarro pizza, Coca-Cola, etc. Oh, and singer Liz Nistico gets pretty naked, save for a strategically placed merkin. (She proved her fondness for brightly colored pubic toupées in HOLYCHILD’s “Rotten Teeth” clip.)

“I directed this video and wanted it to be a visual representation of my current obsession: industrial pop art on sale at the local mall,” Nistico says in a press release. “In typical Brat Pop fashion the song touches upon my fear of aging, and the lyrics felt so true that for the first few months after writing them I would cringe when I listened to the song.”
