Beyoncé Posts a Call to Action Following the Latest Police Killings

Beyoncé may be a closely guarded (and rarely interviewed) superstar, but she’s made it known where she stands on the modern civil-rights movement numerous times. Today, she joined the legions of celebrities who’ve expressed their support for the victims of the latest police shootings: 37-year-old Alton Sterling and 32-year-old Philando Castile. The Lemonade singer posted a short letter asking readers to be proactive in demanding change.

“It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they ‘stop killing us,'” she says. Read the note in its entirety below.
