Apparently, a simple Record Store Day isn’t enough to contain the likes of Radiohead. The band has announced its own one-day in-store event next Friday, June 17, the day A Moon Shaped Pool arrives on CD and vinyl (and Spotify, finally). Details are somewhat thin, but according to the official website, the event “features an exclusive day long audio stream from the band, competitions, instructional artworks, and more.”

Host stores are located in most U.S. states (sorry, Maine, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas), better-populated areas of Canada, and most all of western Europe, although it appears Australians will have to fly to New Zealand. There are also a few participating shops in South Africa, Turkey, China, Korea, and Peru. The full list is available here.

See you next Friday — we’ll be listening to Pool on endless loop and posting two dozen very mysterious pictures of DIY marbled paper crafts to our Instagrams.
