It’s Already ‘4th of July’ if You’re Cymbals Eat Guitars

You may not have nailed down your Independence Day plans yet, but Staten Island noisemakers Cymbals Eat Guitars have a suggestion: “4th of July, Philadelphia (SANDY),” the scuzzy new cut from their forthcoming album, Pretty YearsAccording to the band, “4th of July” is about “the madness of life on the road,” and naturally, it features shout-outs to everything you’re likely to see at a particularly, uh, enthusiastic Fourth barbecue: fireworks, drunk people, and guns.

We’ve already heard (and loved) Cymbals Eat Guitars’ first single, “Wish.” The follow-up to 2014’s LOSE is out September 16 from Sinderlyn and it’s currently available for pre-order. Listen to “4th of July, Philadelphia (SANDY)” here.
