Deftones’ Chino Moreno Actually Played Inside of a Volcano This Weekend

As reported last week, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno actually performed inside of a volcano this weekend at Iceland’s Secret Solstice festival, plowing through a three-song set submerged inside the shaft of the Thrihnukagigur volcano.

Though only 20 people were allowed at the performance — at roughly $1970 a head — there’s video of the Gore musician playing Deftones’ “Change (In the House of Flies)” available for those who couldn’t’ make the trip. The BBC also reports that the performance included a David Bowie cover (from Blackstar) and a Morrissey song. Watch “Change” (filmed 400 feet underground) below (via Pitchfork).
