Update: Beck will also drop a new album, the follow-up to 2014’s Grammy-winning Morning Phase. The still-untitled album arrives on October 21 via Capitol Records. You can pre-order it starting on September 9.
Yesterday, Beck dropped snippets of a new song called “Wow” with not much else to go on (except that OG Maco is decidedly not on the track). Now we have the full song — a hip-hop-influenced, flute-accented bouncer. It’s the first single Beck’s released since last year’s “Dreams.”
“The song is about the moments in life that leave you in awe of the world,” wrote videographer/photographer Alicia Ward, one of the people charged with creating a promotional clip for Beck and Capitol Records.
