In “Shut Up Kiss Me,” an excellent new cut from the upcoming album My Woman, Angel Olsen takes herself for a lonely night out. The romantic partner she sings to is absent as she’s hanging out by herself at the bar, sitting in the backseat of a car, or skating by herself in a roller rink. There’s no one else helping her out with her longing until she’s struggling not to fall at the rink.
My Woman — her follow-up to Burn Your Fire for No Witness — isn’t officially out until September 2, but of course, you can watch “Shut Up Kiss Me” below. Olsen will also be touring throughout the summer, and you can find the dates here.
