Tegan and Sara Wear Hangdog Expressions in Their ‘100x’ Video
Also, be prepared to explode into a dust cloud of "awwwwwwww, DOGGIES"
After dropping videos for singles “Boyfriend” and “U-Turn,” Tegan and Sara have shared another clip from their forthcoming album, Love You to Death. This one is for “100x,” a substantially slower ballad with a Jess Rona-directed video featuring a bunch of adorable, sweetly sad-looking dogs. The twins also make brief appearances, sitting side by side and looking just as melancholy (uh, melan-collie?).
“I met Jess Rona at a Mafia party in L.A., and we hit it off immediately,” Sara told Noisey of their video director, who also happens to be a “dog stylist.” “An actor, musician and dog groomer, ‘Jess Rona Grooming’ became my favorite Instagram account. I constantly direct people to her beautiful, heartbreaking mini-music videos of her furry clients, because they’re an endless delight. It was a true honor to have her do a long-form version for our song ‘100x.'”
