Mitski‘s powerful Puberty 2 record drops next month, and we’ve already heard singles “Happy” and “Your Best American Girl.” Today, Mitski’s dropped a brutal video for “Happy,” which comes directed by Maegan Houang. Mitski herself isn’t in the clip, but we do see a once-“happy,” mid-century couple heading into marital strife, for typically duplicitous reasons, and era-appropriately Mad Men-ish — save for one very bloody surprise at the end.
