They say money can’t buy happiness, but that’s apparently not true of Rock 108 radio host Frank Pain. According to the BBC, Pain has started a GoFundMe page to raise $35,000 in the hopes of getting to “hang out [with] and high five” Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl.

“I’m his biggest fan and figured I can round up enough scratch to purchase him so we can hang out and high five and s**t,” he writes. “Heck, I may give him a bro-hug or two as well.”

At the time of publishing, Pain has only raised $443, so it does not look like he’s anywhere close to “purchasing” his favorite rock star. And even if he does by some miracle collect $35,000, Pain doesn’t specify how he’ll actually go about contacting Grohl and arranging a time and date for said “bro-hug.” Nor does he seem to be worried about whether or not Grohl would be a willing participant.

But that’s okay — Pain appears to have this part somewhat figured out. “I’m not 100% the amount I’m asking for will buy him,” he acknowledges. “Hell, I’m not even sure if it’s legal to purchase another human being without being some central part of a 20/20 TV special. But, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try, right?”
