Lisa Prank Knows ‘Luv Is Dumb’ and Embraces It

There’s a certain charm to being shamelessly honest and Robin Edwards, a.k.a. Lisa Prank, continues to demonstrate that knack in her newest single, “Luv Is Dumb.” The punchy track follows the same oversharing-yet-endearing habit of “Starting Again,” which Edwards’ Seattle-based outfit shared last month from their forthcoming debut LP — Adult Teen, due June 24 via Father/Daughter Records. The minute-and-a-half jaunt features driving power chords backing Edwards’ personality-contradicting confessions: “I am not the type to call you all the time / But love is making me dumb.”

Eric Randall, of fellow Seattle pop-punkers Tacocat, engineered the aptly-named 11-track album. Listen to “Luv is Dumb” here, and either pre-order the LP through Father/Daughter, or get the limited-edition cassette through Miscreant Records.
