SPIN‘s 2014 Band of the Year Parquet Courts release their fifth full-length album Human Performance on April 8th via Rough Trade, their first release since last year’s caustic Monastic Living EP. The few tastes of Performance we’ve heard — opener “Dust” and the loping rock of “Berlin Got Blurry” — are more straightforward and melodically focused than any of the band’s past efforts.
