Gwen Stefani Begs to Be Put Out of Her ‘Misery’ on New Track
Produced by Mattman & Robin and cowritten by Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels
No Doubt frontman Gwen Stefani is in full promotional throttle for her upcoming third solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which is out a week from today. This morning she’s here with the LP’s opening track “Misery,” written by Stefani herself with the help of Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Mattias Larsson, and Robin Frederiksson — the latter two of whom also produced the song and go by, of course, Mattman & Robin.
“You’re like drugs / You’re like drugs to me,” she howls on the pre-chorus as a synthesized bass reverberates underneath her signature punky harmonizing. Hear “Misery” below and pick up This Is What the Truth Feels Like on March 18.
