Update: Hear M83’s new single “Do It, Try It” below.

M83 has announced a new album, Junk, to be released April 8 by Mute. It’s the first new album from the Anthony Gonzalez-led electro-pop outfit since the 2011 double album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.

In December, Gonzalez told Entertainment Weekly that the new album was inspired by ’70s and ’80s television shows like Punky Brewster and Who’s the Boss. M83 is also headed out on tour, with dates at Coachella, Sasquatch, Governor’s Ball, and a show with Tame Impala at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
