Hit-Boy Recruits Rich the Kid, Donnie Trumpet of the Social Experiment for ‘TD Celebration’ Team Roster

Just before Super Bowl 50, Rihanna’s go-to “Woo” man Hit-Boy is adding another touchdown to his already sterling (or more appropriately, platinum) production resumé. The first track off of his upcoming Zoomin 2 release, “TD Celebration,” features Donnie Trumpet of the Social Experiment and Migos affiliate Rich the Kid; the original Zoomin’, released last September, enlisted Pusha T, Quentin Miller, and others. Of Zoomin 2, Hit-Boy said, “I wanted to follow up with a sequel to give the people more music to live to and feel motivated by.” “TD Celebration” does just that, rolling along at a steady clip with trumpet fanfare courtesy of (naturally) Donnie — and lots of sports puns. He added of the track itself:

I just wanted to give people a bounce and feeling they could celebrate to with “TD Celebration.” I’ve been working with Rich the Kid for a minute now, and I found a record I thought he would shine on, in the pocket, so I had to throw him on it. Me and Donnie (Trumpet) have done a ton of work over the past few years, so having him play trumpet on this record took it to a crazier level and gave it a richer, epic feeling.
