Fatima Al Qadiri has shared “Power,” a new track from her upcoming anti-authoritarian electronic album, Brute. Deliberate xylophone-like chimes hang ominously over a darker, cavernous synth beat, creating a tension that her choice vocal samples and their discussion of the nature of power only enhance. Compared to the first single, “Battery,” it’s much more restrained — which almost makes it scarier, knowing what she could do. Stream it below, and look for Brute on March 4 when it drops.
