Lady Gaga’s collaboration with Diane Warren “Til It Happens to You” is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song this year (and might, by our reckoning, have a shot at beating Sam Smith’s boring Bond theme), and last night Gaga performed the track at the Producers Guild of America Awards. Gaga, who was there to accept the Stanley Kramer Award for raising “public awareness of important social issues,” began by telling her audience about her family’s personal history with sexual assault — her aunt was sexually assaulted in college — before paying the touching song off of The Hunting Ground soundtrack.
