Watch Vampire Weekend Perform at Bernie Sanders’ Iowa Campaign Rally

Prior to Tuesday’s Iowa Caucus, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders held a campaign rally at the University of Iowa Field House on Saturday night, which featured performances from Vampire Weekend, Foster the People, and more (Killer Mike was unable to attend due to a loss in the family).

It was Vampire Weekend’s first performance in nearly two years, and the first minus founding member Rostam Batmanglij, who announced his departure from the band last week. During their performance, frontman Ezra Koenig and drummer Chris Thompson were joined by Dirty Projectors‘ Dave Longstreth and the University of Iowa a capella group, the Hawkapellas, who performed “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa,” “Unbelievers,” and a rendition of “This Land is Your Land” (sung with Sanders himself).
