Rihanna Just Dropped the Lead ‘Anti’ Single, ‘Work,’ Featuring Drake

Rihanna just dropped what she’s calling the first single from her upcoming album Anti — suppose she’s forgotten about “Four, Five Seconds,” “American Oxygen,” and “Bitch Better Have My Money” too — and it’s a duet with Drake called “Work.”

Diehards knew this one was coming; Rih was spotted filming the video with the Canadian rapper a few weeks ago with the working (heh) title “Work,” so it’s less of a surprise than her team likely would’ve liked the TIDAL exclusive to be. That said, the song is… fine. It’s upbeat and fun and swishes about in its own glory. Drake’s verse is… also fine, but it’s really the singer who makes the lackadaisical song gel. “I just hope that it gets to you / I hope that you see this through,” Rihanna howls on the song as a vibrating, synthesized bass hums behind her.

Hear it via Tidal here.
