“Hotline Bling” really is the meme of a song that won’t die: During a performance for BBC’s Live Lounge earlier today, electro-pop trio Years & Years performed a weirdly successful mashup of Drake’s woes with Katy Perry’s trap-light hit “Dark Horse,” calling the beast “Dark Horse Bling.” Though both original songs are bombastic and loud in their own right, Olly Alexander and his cohorts slow and mute things down slowly enough to allow for proper appreciation of their patchwork.
