Skrillex Shares Holiday-Spirited Video for ‘Stranger’ Remix

Let's light some cars on fire

Skrillex has shared a stripped-down rework of “Stranger,” a low-key rattler off of his 2014 surprise LP Recess. This piano-led version features Sam Dew’s haunting vocals from the original and production from Morgan Kibby (White Sea, M83), but the video itself is pretty amped-up: Kids from a local school in Griffen, Georgia (where the clip was filmed) get into food fights with Skrillex and OWSLA affiliates and wreak good-natured havoc on a junkyard.

Released for free as part of OWSLA’S holiday charity drive, Nestivus, this “Stranger” remix is, indeed, heartwarming. Watch it here, and — as per Sonny Moore’s encouragement — consider donating to Boys & Girls Club, Bridges for Music and Jhamtse Gatsa Children’s Community.
