The singular U.K. electronic collective PC Music announced a new collaboration with a big-time Chinese pop star and shared a new single today. “Only You,” an infectious, slow burning track, features the vocal talents of Chris Lee, also known as Li Yuchun. The singer, who rose to prominence in China on the reality TV competition Super Girl — the country’s equivalent to The X Factor — delivers hazy, uncanny vocals that fit right in with PC Music’s unique sonic shtick. The track was produced by A.G. Cook, as is another collaboration, “Real Love,” which will be available to buy and stream on December 14.
“To be working with such a unique talent at this intersection of reality television, pop music, and nascent celebrity culture in China has been a dream come true,” PC Music Creative Director Finn Mactaggart said in a statement.
