During last night’s Beauty Behind the Madness tour stop in Toronto — his second date of the tour and only the second date of the cross-country jaunt itself — the Weeknd welcomed Ed Sheeran to the stage for a duet on that album’s quiet, brooding duet, “Dark Times.” It was the first time the pair’s ever performed the track live together, and Abel Tesfaye preempted the British singer-songwriter’s appearance by noting “I’ve written with a lot of people in my life, but Ed Sheeran is the fastest & most talented songwriter ever.”
